Starting at the BBC way back in the mid-80s as an ‘analogue engineer’, I was originally Trained in Broadcast Maintenance + Projects, and then worked across the full range of Studio Vision and Sound Operations in several BBC Regional centres.
Since leaving the BBC – nearly 28 years ago – is it that long ? – i’ve worked for satellite broadcasters in France and Italy, as well as an internet sports broadcaster in West London, and over the past few years i’ve also been back at the BBC in frontline support in London and at Media City Salford
During all this time i have kept up with the near-universal move to digital and IT-based technology across TV aquisition, Post-production and transmission, as well as gaining wide-ranging experience in many operational situations.
I have also taught audio theory and techniques, in the UK and Italy.
